Bankston Cemetery

In 1848, the first successful, mechanically powered textile mill in Mississippi was founded in Bankston by James Madison Wesson. The town declined after the Union army burned down the textile mill when they found out how much cloth and shoes were being turned out daily (interesting story to look up). All that remains of the town is this overgrown cemetery.
